Blake Mangum is the 125# State Champ from Utah this year. Intermat has him ranked the 19th best 125#er in the nation. Good boy.

OU also picked up Erich Schmidtke-Aberdeen, Wash. ranked 6th in the nation at 189#. Stud. Dylan Joiner-Oak Park,Mo. ranked 17th in the nation at 145#. Jack should be looking at Kolton Kono-Oak Park,Mo.-ranked 15th at 215#. and Philip Henes ranked 16th at 140#.

Archie did the smart thing because there are good female wrestlers in Texas, a decent number in Oklahoma, a few in Kansas and surrounding states. OCU can be a player nationally sooner than they will be with the men (and that's NOT degrading their men's program, there's some big time players in the men)

What has women's wrestling done to help men's wrestling? Not a thing!Look at the olympics. Three weights were taken away from the men and given to the women. In Greco you had 2 olympians wrestle off because of the weights being taken away. Adding women's programs is not the answer. Too many D1 coaches are concerned with their programs and not wrestling in general. Where is Jake Spates, John Smith,J Robinson, Tom Brands? Why don't you hear anything from them about what is happening to ASU. why?! Because their programs are fine and not on the chopping block. Think about it. We need to be one voice on what is happening to wrestling. Don't get me wrong I believe women should have the same opportunity as men. But lately it's been one side.
