TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

 

WEIGH-IN                              9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. for all age groups

 

                                                No coaches or parents are allowed in weigh-in rooms

                                                (unless requested by tournament official)

All heavy weights will weigh in

All contestants must weigh in wearing a competition singlet

Digital scales will be used

There will be no weight allowances for Divisions I through IV

There will be a 2 lb growth allowance for Division V

There will be no rebracketing or moving on the brackets for no-shows or overweights

 

OPENING CEREMONIES:    3:00 P.M.

 

WRESTLING BEGINS:          After opening ceremonies until a set match number

                                                (To be announced)

 

ALL DIVISIONS WILL WRESTLE FRIDAY NIGHT

 

SATURDAY

 

WRESTLING BEGINS:          9:00 a.m.  We will wrestle all matches except championship and consolation finals.  5th and 6th will wrestle with the finals.

 

ALL PLACERS REPORT:      5:30 p.m.

 

CLOSING CEREMONIES:    6:00 p.m.

 

WRESTLING BEGINS:          6:30 p.m. until completion

 

RULES:                                   OKWA and National Federation rules with the following exceptions:

 

                                                No riding time

                                                No rest period between matches (except between finals and challenges match-a-minimum of 15 minutes)

                                                No head gear required

                                                No age protests

                                                A no-show counts as a loss

 

 

FORMAT:                               Double elimination and challenges for second place

 

TIME PERIODS:                     Same as regionals        

 

PROTESTS:                            A $25.00 cash deposit will be required for all protests.  If the protest is denied, the money will be forfeited.  You may not protest referees’ judgment calls.

 

AWARDS:                               Individual awards will be presented for 1st through 6th.

                                                Team awards will be presented 1st through 3rd in all divisions.

                                                All 1st – 6th places in each weight will count toward the team’s total points.

                                                Points are as follows:

                                                            1st = 12

                                                            2nd = 9

                                                            3rd = 6

                                                            4th = 4

                                                            5th = 2

                                                            6th = 1

 

COACHES PASSES:              Each team will be issued coaches passes according to the bylaws.

                                                Make sure you have filled out the form at Regionals

                                                It is the team’s responsibility to insure the proper person picks up the passes, and distributes them to the proper coaches.

 

SCALE FOR PASSES:           1-5 Wrestlers = 1 pass

                                                6-10 Wrestlers = 2 passes

                                                11-15 Wrestlers = 3 passes

                                                16-20 Wrestlers = 4 passes

 

                                                Additional passes may be purchased according to the same ratio for teams in excess of 20 wrestlers.
